1st show - 12 OCT

Good choice of opening song, "Warrior of the New Century". The red curtains dropped, Miriam lied on the dancers, with a red arrow shot on her chest. She sang 2 lines of the chorus, "Like creating a new century, there's no heaven and no earth..." The music changes to a fast beat and Miriam plucked the arrow out from her chest... Miriam did some simple dance moves for the song, followed by "Woman of Integrity" and "Kissing Everywhere".

A female voice over talking about "What is love?". (The voice sounds like 903 DJ GC Goobi to me)
Miriam rise from center stage with a pink outfit, and sang "Small City Big Matter" and "It happened before".
"8 and a half"(1st time to performed live) started a little story telling the process of love, with live-size dolls of a rabbit and a girl with glasses, eyeballs, lips, man's head, clock house and Pinocchio... Miriam sang her classic hits as well as memorable side-tracks like "That's why it's because", "A lonesome lit-up night", "A girl's prayer" and "Accidental Tourist".

"Life my head up" with an 80's feel, cool.
Miriam showed off her sponsored Luk Fook diamond necklace and elegant gown, occasionally forgetting to speak in a more feminine way... And brought us some karaoke favourites - "If you let me continue to speak", "FA", "Wild Child", "Cute girl".

Spanish music intro, red cloths, bull-fighter suits. I could guess that Edmond Leung will be appearing soon. My favourite costume for this concert - maroon gown with gloves and a neck-tie, perfectly represented Miriam's character, a mixture of feminism and masculism.
"Get Lost" ended with a slap from Edmond. (pretended one of course) Followed by "Souvenir" and "An Account out of Egypt".
A piano rise from the corner stage. Surprised everyone with "Still Elegant". A guy rise from center stage and people started screaming. It's Louis Koo! And they danced... they hugged... they kissed!
Before the audience can get over with "the kiss of the century", Miriam rise from center stage again and presented her classic love songs "Lover" and "Shining spirit"... Wonderful singing...

We heard some mysterious music intro, I thought it should be the highly anticipated "Finally have to admit it" coming up... But the music changed to "Strange"... and it stopped. "Balegechi Balegechi..." It's "Finally have to admit it" for real. Really cute dance moves, pleased to see results from her training in Japan. The audience got high with the tracks "Bothering Me" and "Hot-blooded Youth".
Another surprise, to hear her sing "3 minutes Passion" live for the first time in concert, which is supposedly the "last song" for the night. And then comes another of my favourite segment - "Sayonara Oh! Sayonara Oh!", Miriam sang one line and imitated Leon Lai's dance moves of "My Beloved" and "Happy 2000"! Funny...

Encore time! 3 claps and shout "Yeung Chin Wah!" is the right thing to do.

A piano rise from the corner stage, it's Miriam's best friend Jean Chien! Miriam sang "The wolf has come" accompanied by Jean's beautiful piano playing. Then she specially presented the song "Sister" to her best friend.
Miriam felt a bit hot and took off her jacket, showing her fit shape. She took the time to thank a whole list of organizers and people, misread some company name as "Next magazine" -_-" and couldn't pronounce the costume designer's Japanese name correctly. She stressed that there were no plasma TVs below the stage to prompt her lyrics and felt that her performance was considered quite good for the night. The audience definitely agrees with her.
She then looked for a couple among the audience and presented them with a pair of Seiko watches. That's not all. Miriam asked the audience to check the bottom of their seats to see if they can find a small sticker of her concert logo. There were 8 more Seiko watches for the lucky ones.
The mood was pushed to the climax as the coliseum sang along with Miriam's classic hits "Strange Ways", "A Pity I'm An Aquarius", "Yeung Chin Wah" and "Teddy Girl". A fabulous night of collective memories... It's all about Miriam and you.

After the concert, Miriam stopped her van on her way back to chat with fans for a while. We all gave positive response to her performance but suggested she could improve on her dance moves. Someone asked if the kiss with Louis Koo was impromptu. Miriam's response was hilarious - "Are you nuts?!" Would Louis kiss her every night? "I don't know ga..." she answered, playing secretive. It was time for all to take a good rest, and prepare for the next night. Miriam said goodbye, looking still energetic and happy. Everyone should be feeling excited for this night of success and looking forward to a better show the next day...
