How Miriam entered Showbiz:
In 1995, just as Miriam was about to complete her nursing course,
her friends signed her up for a distinguished local singing contest
known as the "14th Annual Singing Contest". During a trial
recording session, Miriam was spotted by Capital Artist, who then
signed her up as a singer under its flag. With a self-chosen song,
Cass Phang's "Waited for Too Long", Miriam triumphed in
the singing contest, coming in as the Second Runner's Up. After
which, Miriam was sponsored by Capital Artist for a short music
course in the States. Upon graduation, Miriam returned to Hong Kong
and began her route to stardom.
